Couple of Barnes

Wow, that will be a thumper with that flat nose. Excellent grouping for that big bore. Love to see it perform on water jugs.

For sure, those loads will work for you about anywhere. Congratulations.

You have a couple of great loads there!

I once tried to catch a solid out of the 460 WBY , it just blew through 14 jugs

Great shooting! Man I bet the 416 weatherby is a handful.

I’ll add to this post with a go around with solids. This time the 350gr Barnes Solid.

I loaded 6 for a velocity and pressure check and 3 for a group. I was going to start at 124gr , instead started at 127gr based on what I saw last year with the 400gr Solids. Corrected QL was giving me a max of 3100fps at 132gr , which was my top load.

I loaded 4 at 130gr 1 for velocity 3 for group. The downfall of the Magnetospeed is this. The group not bad for a random pick of charge weight.

Since I passed a 100 rounds again , time for a barrel cleaning. Still shoots good but the barrel looks awful inside. Since last cleaning I’ve ran 2 different copper jacketed bullets , solid copper , and solid brass bullets.
