I have shot 9 deer in total with 60 grain Partition and only 1 with 53 tsx. tsx visually hit a lot harder. All 4 petals broke off aiding in energy transfer, only recovered one petal. But the 9 deer with 60 grain partion only required 1 shot each. And busted a lot of bone. I finally receoved a 60 part this year. Waited until the deer was perfect broadside and tried to put it through as much bone and meat as I could. Entered left side front shoulder, broke 2 ribs going in, took off top of heart, and bottom of lungs, broke 1 rib exiting, entered right shoulder, broke bone just below shoulder blade and recovered bullet in meat just before skin. Maybe 1 inch from offside skin. What a little performer.

53 tsx was launched at 3750ft/sec and smacked the doe head on at around 100 yards. Hit her right in the white throat batch. I was lying on ground so the bullet travelled up through her lungs and took out 6 inches of pure spine! Lots of truama.
60 part launched at 3500ft/sec and inpacted deer at 125 yards. Farthest shot was 244 yards on a doe. Entered broadside broke rib going in, hole through heart, broke rib going out and also broke far side leg bone and exiting. Further distance really showed less trauma, but obviously effective.. Rifle is a tikka 595 Continental. Shoots bug holes and I would be comfortable to 400 yards with proper shooting conditions. I will not take the shot if I have any doubt!

Great capture with the PT! That TSX looks pretty awesome as well.

What is your load with the 60gr PT?

Sorry for the delay, don't get on to post very oftern. My load with the 60 grain Partition is 35.0 grain of Reloader 15, CCI 200 primer, COL of 2.35.

Here are a couple targets.

Thanks for posting, need to try that 60 gr PT it looks to be a great deer bullet. Nice shooting.

I used the 60 gr PT in my 22-250 to shoot a coyote head on at about 75 yds. The little PT entered the chest dead center and exited just below the vent. Penetration is impressive.

Very impressive results. I have no fear of using these bullets on deer either. So far I have only shot one doe @ 40 yds with a 64g Winchester Power Point and it worked flawlessly. I have no doubt that these Partitions will work even better! Thanks for your report!
