Sorry I'm new to posting Anyone using Imr 8208 xbr to load 223 Nosler 60 gr Ballistic tip?
I loaded 22 gr col- 2.270, as 2.274 is against the lands.
shot 3 five shot groups. the first was 3/4 and the last two were just under a inch at 100 yards.
I'm shooting a custom made left handed Savage 10/110 with a 24" heavy barrel.

Going to try at 200yd

Welcome! I'm not, but someone else may be. I'll post a link to your first post in "reloading" and I'll bet you end up with some responses.

Please tell us which cartridge you're using...

Thanks, Guy

Welcome what cartridge are you shooting? I shoot both the 223 and 22-250 with the 55BT and they are accurate as all get out.

If we know the cartridge, any of a number of us will be able to run a QL projection for you. Welcome aboard.

In my 223 I use 25.4 gr w a 50 gr VMax. Haven't run heavier bullets with it yet. It's good powder and darn accurate in mine.

welcome to the forum.

XBR is a great powder for 223/556.

Have a couple of guys in our varmint crew that run it with 50 g v and z max, 55 g noslers, and 60 g vmax in semi auto accuracy rigs. I run it with 77 g noslers. So from 50's to heavies in 223 it works.

Great powder if your asking about 223/556....and absolutely has the potential to work great with the 60 Nosler BT's you asked about....great powder - great bullet - great potential.

XBR is a short extruded powder that meters well for an extruded powder, and is advertised to be temp insensitive comparatively.

Proceed with confidence if asking for 223/556 cowpie?

I use it in my 223 as well. 25.5 grain with the 50gr Sierra Blitz. I have not found an accuracy node with the 55 or 60 Nosler BTs yet though.

I'm loading 23.2 gr of XBR under 69gr Nosler BTHP in LC brass with good results.

I only used Ramshot tac in my .223 with 55 gr BT. Then I tried IMR 8208 XBR, and I switched for good . It made an awesome combo even better. Lee
