Another 64g BSB - 223 approx 3000fps

I shot a few 64 BSB's today out of my M595 tikka 223. Loaded with 26g of CFE223 powder at 2.205 OAL. Found it in the 4th jug, weighed 54.8 for 86% weight retention. Expanded diameter of 0.459








For those who "Hunt" with a .22 cal, this is a mean little bullet.

Fine load. I do agree with you that this is "a mean little bullet."

I say its a "Wicked" bullet. I shot it out of a 22-250 at 3372 fps and recovered one in the 5th jug. Expanded diameter was .481".

This bullet w/Superformance powder will be my 22-250 deer load for 2015. Getting 3618 and good accuracy.

You know.......Wyoming made the bigger 22 centerfires legal for antelope and deer. Hmmmmm

wow that looks great and the accuracy is just a nice. Thats definitely a load that I would load up a thousand or so of.
I don't think you can ask for anything better for the 223 to shoot a bonded bullet that accurately

I'm bringing a few along on my mountain lion hunt but also taking the 50gr V-Max loads. I really don't want an exit wound. Not sure which way to go just yet.

For those that have shot wolf, would these work out of 223? Just wondering if I kept some on hand while coyote hunting and ran into the bigger dogs.

I would imagine that to be a great bullet for wolves. I wouldn't hesitate to carry it afield for that purpose.

A Canadian friend of mine has taken A LOT of wolves with the old Win 64 gr PP and a .220 swift. I'd imagine this bullet would be all of that and a lot better. I used to import a few boxes of ammo for him every time I went up snowmobiling until I helped set him up to reload.
