Just got a new toy.. Had to give it a whirl... Tikka 22-250 1:8 twist..

I ran a 75 grain Swift Scirocco into the jugs at an estimated velocity of 2950.. I found the bullet in the fourth jug and it weighed 62.9 grains. Thats 84% weight retention.. This was basically a few rounds I loaded to get on paper.. I'm expecting to see velocity north of 3200 later.. Will retest then.

These are at the top of the heap of .22 cal bullets I have tested. they stay together, penetrate well and shoot pretty good.

that's a nice bullet . I'm interested in seeing you test it at 3200+ . I'll bet it does fine .

I do like the Scirocco, and this demonstrates the reason I have used them for many years. Excellent results.

Nice! I need to try some in my 22 Nosler.
I'm thinking that I would get the same speed as your test, 2950 fps.

I used the 150 Sirocco when I had the 7 STW for nilgai, never let me down.

They are pretty danged good Bullets. Seem them work on a couple elk. Very impressed with them.

cool. is that one of the tikkas that they are doing a group buy for on the 24hourcampfire.com site?

Weird F&G law. Scotland county, NC only allows a 22 caliber bore for rifle deer hunting. I hope some of those boys see your results, because that bullet will be a freezer filler, for sure!

I found best accuracy with my 7 Rem Mag at .100" off the lands. They didn't shoot well closer than that. Just food for thought!

I like it. That sucker will hunt!

That it will Scotty. I'm still struggling to get the accuracy I want with the scirocco but they are vicious little pills when they connect. This is the second of two pigs I knocked down with them last week. 150 yards DRT on this one. The other ran about 50 yards and expired. He was as big or bigger.
