Here are a couple of pictures of the 80 grain BT recovered from jug three.. Pretty stout little bullet when it has slowed down a little.



 
Good stuff. I'm helping a young lad work up loads for a new .243; this intel will assist in selecting bullets for his rifle.
 
Where's the bullet? All I see is a big hand with a piece of dirt in it. That can't be the bullet. :roll: :lol:
 
Those will knock down whitetails in your area nicely. That looks great :)
 
Is this thr 80 gr BT varmint? Would you use it at reduced velocity (2400
FPS from the barrel) for youth loads on deer sized animals? Or upgrade to a 85 gr PT?

I would definitely run the 80 grain bullet at reduced speeds and have used them for deer. They work fine. Don't expect exits, but the deer will not go far. I also wouldn't try tough shots, but on pure rib shots I think you'll be very happy with their performance.
