90gr nosler accubond

Howdy - I dislike seeing this post sit here unanswered. Couple of things might help:

1. This section is normally used to discuss the terminal performance of various bullets. How well they expand, penetrate, and sometimes their accuracy as well. So - it may not attract the interest you're seeking. Would be better placed in the reloading section.

2. No cartridge is specified in your post. I'd guess the 243 Winchester, but I really don't know. Could be the 6mm Remington, or any number of other 6mm cartridges.

And sadly, no, I've never used that bullet or that powder. In our 6mm Remington, I'm pretty well stuck on the 95 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip, or the 100 gr Nosler Partition. The 90 gr AccuBond does have a good reputation, I've just never used it.

Try your question again, in the Reloading section, might pick up some more interest and some answers over there.

Regards, Guy

I load it in a 243 with IMR4350 though. Getting right at 3150 fps and great accuracy.

I've loaded it in my 6mm Remington with the 90 gr. AccuBond. Great bullet. I used IMR4350 with that bullet. It's a great deer, antelope, and coyote bullet. It really holds together well. I've tested it from 25-100-200-300-400- 500 yards in water jugs and it performs very well.

Welcome aboard. Oh, yeah, it'd be hard to take groups like that. (y) Fine riflery. I'd say that VihtaVuori powder is performing very well for you.

Also I hope its ok the load DATA is in the photo, it's right out of the manual

Obviously, that load works. You could up the charge somewhat, according to QL, but I really can't say that you'd gain in accuracy. You won't gain all that much velocity.

Code:
Cartridge : .240 Weath. Mag.
Bullet : .243, 90, Nosler Accubond 56357

I rebarreled 3 years ago with a 28" pacnor so those little 90 ab are humming along at 3480avg.
