This is a 140 gr fusion that my buddy recovered out of his wife's cow elk.
Her rifle is a browning X-Bolt in 270wsm. He figured it was a 120 yard shot.
I weighed it and it is at 90.7 grs retained weight and expanded over .5" .
I'm impressed with this although small sample size.

Looks like perfect performance to me.
Congratulations to your buddy's wife on her cow elk.

The Fusion appears to be a fine bullet. Federal has done a good job with that one.

Ya she got it last year, we were just talking about bullets and he had this in the ashtray of his truck. He doesn't collect recovered bullets I have quite a few so he gave it to me..

super-7, this Friday I am heading out to the range and will be trying 140gr. ABs out of my Son's model 70 in the 270wsm. I also have 150gr. Onyx that were gifted to me that I am going to try as well. I hope that I will be able to give a range report if things go well.
I know a number of people that shoot the 270wsm all seem to be very happy with the 140gr. bullets coming out of their rifles. (y)

Blessings,
Dan
