Took my first elk with this bullet out of a 270 win. at about 225 yards. It was the first of two shots, and the elk didn't even react to being shot. The next shot broke both shoulders low and exited. It weighs 136 gr, and left the muzzle around 2800.
 
I've got several boxes of the Partition Gold bullets; and I've never taken game with them yet. I may have to do something about that this fall.

They would be one tough customer in your 270WSM Mike. They look like they are really tough! Scotty
 
likely the wrong place to post this question, what chronographed velocities do u get from ur .270 short mags?

I get an easy 3120 with regular 150 PTs using RL22. Very easily my favorite load for that rifle. I would think the PT Golds would be better yet.
