In my tests, 150 Partition vs 140 AccuBond performance is quite similar. And I think that is what Nosler intended.
150 Partition launched at 2850ft/sec retained 92 grains = 61.3%
140 AccuBond launched at 3000ft/sec retained 69.3%

150 Partition does penetrate a bit further due its smaller mushroom.

All pictures of bullets are, from left to right: 150 Partition recovered from wild boar (yes we have them in Manitoba!), 150 Partition recoeved from milk jugs, unfired 150 Partition, Unfired 140 AccuBond, and 140 AccuBond recovered from Milk Jugs.

I posted this info on another thread but I figured it should also belong here.

Great stuff Steve!..those accubonds really hold up well, mine retained 98 grs for 70% weight retention, and looks very similar to yours..Lou

You actually had a bit more retained weight with the 140 AB, which is as I would have predicted. Either will work well in a 270, I should think.

I love all these tests. An extra vote of confidence in our favorite product.

steve, did the 150 hit the shoulder plates of the boar?

Yes, right through the plates, and lodged in the meat on the far side leg. Was fortunate to even get that hog! I was posted at a bait pile for black bear when he bounded out and started rooting. He had his head down facing me at around 160 yards. So I poped him right between the shoulder blades. Of course he dropped but about 20 seconds later he bounded up and away! Was I shocked! I cycled the 7600 remington pump and gave him another as he just got into some long grass. That did him in! He is now hanging in my sunroom. Upon inspection first round hit him in the spine but the shot must not have hit true center as bullet angled away from vitals, outside of rib cage exiting by the belly. Must have caused enough shock to stun him. I was not aware of hog biology and did not know there was so much bone around the spine.
