Fortunate indeed! And exercising some good reloading and shooting! Nice looking buck that should make excellent table fair! Hope you had fun! CL

An excellent season for you. Congratulation on a couple of fine mulies. You did your part, and now they will provide rich table fare for your family.

Really cool, the deer, the hunt, the cartridge. Have trouble getting me head around the carnage the 6.5 would do on a Weatherby 300 case… wow!

Nice shooting! I bet that 6.5-300 WBY is hard to beat out west for Mulies

Youngest son filled his second deer tag on an old gal. Hips ribs backbone showing. Teeth wore to the gum line she had served her purpose and probably not made it through winter.aged roughly 10 years plus by a warden who checked us. 300 win mag with 185 grain Berger at 250 yards, she didn’t go far. I was extremely happy with that deer, a doe that age has seen a few hunter tricks in her time. My son was excited as well.

Congratulations to your son. For sure, you did the herd a favour by tagging that old gal. She'll provide some fine table fare, for sure.
