What do you call a BIG Moose.

This is what I call a "gagger".
It was about as close as you will ever get
To 80". It would still be the world record but
When the minister that shot it saw the " same day airborne" rule he would NOT sign the B&C paperwork!
He had flown into camp earlier that day, and the new
Rules forbid that starting that year......
The moose was actually killed above the Chillchitna Stream a tributary to the upper Mulchatna

It is unlawful to hunt the same day you fly in a private aircraft. That is to prevent scouting form the air, landing, and shooting game; considered an unfair advantage.

I have killed some rather large moose for Southern BC, but WOW!

Heck of a bull!

I wish I could think a bull like that would make it with all the airplane traffic we have nowadays. It I see a moose like that having someone camped on him for weeks prior to the opener. Or maybe the night before the opener?!

If that was today they woulda confiscated that moose and the airplanes involved
So fast then handed out fines in the five digits pulling guide licenses along the way. Boy times have changed.

I'm impressed with the hunter's integrity.
His actions speak well of him. I'd like to think I'd be as honest, but Lord, the temptation is great.
