Fall Turkey Pic

It figures I wouldn’t have a fall turkey tag in my pocket when they showed up and milled around for 10 minutes or more yesterday morning. And they were in bow range the whole time.

Always a thrill to watch turkeys when unaware of your presence. Yeah, they can get your blood pumping, even when you're not armed or licensed to take one.

Oh my goodness! Ya, that would be tough to take.

Once extinct in New England they have now become a nuisance according to the press, digging up gardens in the posh tree huger neighborhoods of suburbia. Most of the birds used to restock the population have come from wild stock trapped here in MD and restocked else where in places such as New England.
With the secret stocking or relocation of coyotes to the east I don't know how long the big flocks of birds will last since they had only man to worry about before.
