Got out this week and found a cow to tag. Popped over the ridge and the herd of cows was 287 yards away. Hit this cow behind the shoulder and she started running quartering away so I hit her again with the 280 Ackley shooting 168 grain LRAB. First bullet took out ribs on entrance and exit left about half dollar sized exit, second shot broke ribs and went through opposite side shoulder leaving quarter sized exit on shoulder. Hoping to find the wife a cow the first week in November. Then hoping to get out over thanksgiving and find myself a bull

You ensured some fine dining this coming year. Congratulations on a fine hunt.

Excellent!

Dang if your wife gets another cow... Then you add a bull around Thanksgiving...

Well, I'd be OUT of freezer space before that.

Congrats, and good luck on the rest of your season.
