48gr TAC..Nosler 125GR. AccuBond 2.750" OAL... Labradar says 2955fps at muzzle of Ruger's 16" bbl ..with suppressor attached...deer was facing me quartering slightly to the left...
placed the bullet at top of left shoulder...the rifle bbl. is covering the bullet entrance....
and it dropped it at at shot..never moved....145lbs...massive gnarled chocolate antlers and old gray face...estimated at close to 5yrs. old...post mortem showed the buller violenty expanded and snapped the spine..it did exit...1/2" exit hole... and kept going..? This one is the 3rd. old mature buck taken on our lease by our hunt partners...there are more out there as all our lease partners have seen many on the game cameras...our lease/hunt partner is doing a good job of managing the deer herd on our lease.....
