Christmas Turkey

Got out yesterday to squeeze in some turkey hunting while my brother was in town for Christmas. This jake hopped up on a log about 40 yards away. Held the scope about halfway up his neck and sent the 64 BSB his way from my 20" DMR and harris bipod. He dropped and flopped with just a neat caliber size hole..No big longbeard but I suspect he'll be a welcome addition to Christmas dinner...An hour or so later my brother shot a fat old hen with his 12 gauge. I enjoy this late Virginia turkey season we've had..About the only time my brother and I can get together to hunt.
