Holy cow

Last weekend of pheasant hunting for the girls and me. One of the hunters found a great white tail shed.
Looks like the worst of winter is over, hope to see him next fall.

My goodness!

That is quite the piece of bone. The buck that wore that headgear must have been seen by someone. Wonder that the area wasn't crawling with hunters determined to find him.

Oh he was seen alright, I saw him about a week before rifle season, one of the other dog handlers got a crack at him during bow season, one of the lease hunters watched him come off the hill from 1000 yards, disappear in the river bottom, cross the river and walk into the alfalfa at less then 100 yards with about 15 minutes of shooting light left. Missed him slick as a whistle.
Buck like that can give a guy jitters.

That is one heck of a buck that carried that rack.

He is an Oregon deer, private ground, near Pendleton. That’s about as close as I’ll get you.

Wow. Just being in possession of the shed is a trophy in and of itself. Heck of a buck.

Are you sure you weren't Pheasant hunting in Saskatchewan :lol:. I am kidding!!
That is a true monarch of a buck, I hope that next fall you get the opportunity to have a crack at him.
