Last year I scored a cow elk with my 30 Nosler using 180ABs, so, this year I took out my 26 Nosler using 140ABs to hunt mule deer and antlered elk. I got very lucky and got a 4x4 buck on the second evening of deer season, 11 Oct. So after sitting around for 3 days after getting my buck dealt with, I was finally able to go out on the 15th for antlered elk and came up on a spike feeding with some cows. Needless to say, he had very bad morning and I had a very good morning. Now, to put the icing on the cake, I've been told by others that seeing any bucks or bull elk in the area I was hunting in has been extremely difficult.
That is a very successful season.
