Got a chance to fill the cow tag this morning.
First kill with 300 Winchester. About 100 yards quartering away.
Dropped on the spot.
180 grain AccuBond recovered against hide in neck on off side. 111.9 grains retained weight.

Wondered how the little Kubota would do and it helped get the skinning and moving done.

Thanks to the two Grandsons for all their help.

Was planning on using the E-tips but the orange tipped AccuBond did the trick.

Congratulations on your cow elk.
I like those Kubota Orange tipped AB's!

That's why I still use the AccuBond exclusively in my .300 after 15 years.

I just don't have any legitimate reason to experiment- a uniform trail of dead critters and textbook bullet performance.

One of these days I’ll shoot one where I can get a lawn tractor to it.
Congratulations, looks like Rosy country.

Oh man! I always say someday I wanna be able to load an elk into my truck, more than 1 quarter at a time..

Great job! Those accubonds always seem to work perfect.

Scotty, You'll want something big enough to lift the whole Elk/Moose 12' off the ground, and during the winter for snow removal. I must have moved 100K lbs of snow in the last three days with a 72" wide snow thrower and the front bucket..... a little over 2' in two days over the weekend, and it was wet snow.

We finally got some cold weather to dry out the snow.

I have the tractor!

I just need to find an elk to die close enough to use it!

Congrats on the Elk. They are stocking some on my side of the Mississippi but to get drawn to take one is like winning the lottery. If I ever do get to go after an elk it will probably be with my 264 Win. mag loaded with, you guessed it, a 130 AccuBond. I have shot a good number of deer with this combo and man is the AccuBond a great bullet. Only recovered one from a buck at 111 yards shot almost facing me. Bullet hit front edge of left scapula and was found against the smashed ball joint in the right ham. Looked just like your recovered bullet and weight was 87 grs. This bullet started out at 3350 fps muzzle from the 27 3/4" barrel also.
