Montana moose, sheep, goat, bison draw is finished!!

3 Strikes here too, gaining those points up for next year!
Daughters Antelope tags are still pending, think they still have a pretty good shot at those this year.

Is bison the most difficult to draw?

Looking at the rough numbers, Yes it is.
They give out 80 Bison tags plus extra depending on the winter and roughly 10,000 applications. Goats get just under 200 tags and 18,000 apps. Sheep get 300 tags and 30,000 apps. But for the Bison there are just 2 districts to put in for, West of Yellowstone or North of it. Some Individual units for Sheep and Goat are as low as 0.13% draw odds but up to 25% and 0.26% to 7% for moose.
Keep in mind some of those good draw odds and places you can't or don't want to get to or also for a Cow/Ewe/Nanny

Guy Slimfinn explained it pretty well. Think my goat sheep and moose areas were all about 0.5% chance of being drawn. I'll go down and purchase $50.00 of Super Tag chances before that ends. You can get moose, sheep, goat, bison, antelope, elk, deer, and mountain lion. $5.00 a pop. I figure what the heck my odds can't be much worse than the regular draw.

Ya, the odds of drawing some of these tags on public land are, pretty awful.

Lots of hunters, not many of those sought-after tags.

Ah well, pay your money and take your chances.

Oddly, I won't gamble at casinos, but I'll take my chances in hunting draws...

Unfortunately this is why as a non resident I don’t even bother. I would like to have hunted Goats and Sheep but at my age it’s just not in the cards. Same goes for some of the prime Mule Deer tags in WY and CO buy the time I have enough points, I will be a Old Man.
When your Young you have a Family and no money, and buy the time you have the money you are trying to beat the clock of what time you have left.

Keep trying and ya just might get lucky.
Nothing ventured nothing gained.
