Cousin drew a Rocky mountain goat tag here in Oregon for the Wallowa mountains and did some spotting over the weekend. Found a great Billy so hopefully he stays around the area another month. He will be up every weekend trying to keep an eye on him. Season opens sept 1st. Hoping I can tag along and video, but with work I doubt it. It's a 15 mile pack in with horses, all uphill, then another 2-3 miles on foot to get to the goats. Some beautiful country and rugged hunting.

Beautiful country. Good luck to your cousin, it's a tough hunt and if he gets one he will earn every bit of it. Hope he can find that billy again.

That's beautiful and rugged country. Sure hope he gets a goat. We must have pictures and short stories as the scouting goes along !

Wow! That's amazing. I keep applying for the Washington goat tag, but no luck.

Congrats on the draw and best of luck to the hunter. I hope you get in on the hunt. :)

beautiful looking country, I like hunting goats, know of 6 people who drew here so
should get in on a few goat hunts. Personally like hunting them in November, do you guys get
to much snow to hunt them there at that time of year.
