200AB 300 WBY 3050FPS bull elk

Here is a 200 AB that was recovered from a Wyoming 6x6. Went in the ribs and was found in the rear ham upon skinning. Don't have the bullet for measurements, but man, it looks real good to me. Shot was around 175-200 yards as well. I can say the elk did not care for them....







 
I shoot a 300 WBY with180 gr. partitions . have never recovered one on deer or elk . Moose are a different thing, found many a bullet in the hide on the other side .I have used and will continue to us this bullet!

Welcome aboard. The 180 grain PT will deliver the goods when launched at velocities generated by a 300 Wby, just as you state. It also works quite well in other 30 calibre rifles that operate at lower velocities.

It doesn’t get too much better than a good 300 and a Nosler or BBC :mrgreen:
