Rainier 230gr Hollow Point at 950 fps, from 45ACP+P

I shot the 230 grain, Rainier hollow point from a 45 ACP, Glock 21 to test expansion and penetration. The bullet was travelling about 950 fps before it hit the four one gallon jugs of water.

The inexpensive plated bullets worked perfectly; it retained all 230 gr of weight, expanded to .75" and passed through three jugs and lacerated the 4th.

Somehow I'm not all that surprised. Seems like a very good, economical solution. I've seen excellent accuracy from Rainier plated bullets from my 45 1911.
