I own/shoot two different Glocks, a 23 and a 27 and my wife also shoots them and shoots them well even with her having tiny hands.

I carry the 27 regularly. I am considering a laser sight for one or both of these weapons. (In another post, I addressed the Crimson Trace laser grip for the 23 and have not yet made the final decision to purchase one). .

As an alternative to having the Crimson Trace with a larger (thicker) handgrip, would a guide rod with built in laser be a better option? (Point being, no increase in hand grip size albeit slower to operate due to having to turn it on/off unlike the handgip models).

Anyone have any experience with the guide rod type lasers?

Dave, I work up a load and sighted in a Beretta 96 with this Laser. Had a hard time sighting it in. But after getting some help, and different tools, I got it. Worked good from 10 yards to 50, with practice. This Deputy was going to shoot a little, wanted 5000 rounds loaded. He bought Federal factory, then shot them and I reloaded them.
