Okay, so what are the advantages/disadvantages of Glock's 45 GAP?

I have personally never shot one, but want to know the dirt on this handgun

The only advantage that I can visualize is that maybe the overall size of the pistol can be made smaller. I can't see any other advantage because it shoots the exact same velocities as the acp. I would like to hear more on this myself too.

Thanks GB-

I want to get this part of the forum going. I would really like to know more about the 45 GAP. Since we don't do extensive handgun testing on the 45 GAP in house I would like to hear what others have heard or more important have experienced.

Ditto!

Yup. That's it. Just to put a .45 in a 9mm grip size.

A lot of folks have trouble properly latching onto the big grip of a Glock 21, but some still want to carry a double-stack .45, so Glock made a more compact .45 round for them.

That's about it. Otherwise, it's got pretty much the same ballistics as a .45 ACP. Not necessary in my ever so humble opinion, but there it is and I'm sure they'll sell some.

Regards, Guy
