I am curious if folks have any on game experience using 270 WSM 150 grain Winchester Ballistic Silvertips. I have decided to use the 140 grain AccuBond CT for black bear and moose but am considering the Ballistic Silvertips for whitetail

As I understand it, the "Ballistic Silvertip" bullet is identical in construction to the Nosler Ballistic Tip bullet, just with a different finish/coating.

I've long been a fan of the Nosler Ballistic Tip for deer sized game. Accurate. Expands readily. I've had excellent results from them on mule deer, pronghorn antelope and whitetail deer. Both .25 and .30 cal rifles.

I don't use the .270 WSM, but several members of the forum do.

Regards, Guy

I have used 140 grain BST in my .280 Rem. They give excellent accuracy and perform quite well on whitetail and mule deer. As Guy notes, these are Ballistic Tips in disguise.

The .277 150 Ballistic Tip is tough. It shoots REALLY well in my 270 WSM as well.

Just got back from the range and it shoots lights out from my 700 Remington
Both Winchester AccuBond CT and Winchester Ballistic Silvertips shoot extremely well from my 700
