.30-06 Rem 700 & 200 gr Partitions

Nice shooting Guy! A little BRASS and the slow moving, but super high SD, and BC of a 200 gr. 30 cal. bullet long before what we have today for bullets was more the norm back in the day, at least for me it was?

Before Barnes went to their solid copper bullets design I used their 200, and 220 in my '06. Then I went to the 200 Sierra SBT Gameking extensively because it shot well, and just plain worked on game. Later I used the 200 Norma Oryx and 220 Woodleigh Solids over in Africa that shot to the same POI which was a modern feat I thought on my part! lol

They are slow in the beginning, but tend to play catch up further out with a higher payload. Slow and steady with plenty of shank left after impact does the trick IMO.

200 grain Partitions, Rem M700, and H4350 anchored me this bad boy at 200 yards in Alaska back in 2006.

I'd use that combo again but I rarely find the need for a bullet that heavy.

A lovely bruin, to be sure. Yeah, that load did the trick!

Thanks! Beary Manilow has a place of honor on my wall now.

Ha! (y)

My better half wrote that on the box that we had him in when we packed to move. The name kind of stuck.
