I swapped out the 4 power scope and mounted a 2-7 Leupold on the 375 H&H a while back. Got to the shooting bench yesterday afternoon to get it on paper. Not driving tacks but shooting good enough if I want to use it for an elk harvest on the honestead this Fall and Winter. I haven’t done much experimenting with this one as I ended up with a bunch of 270 and 300 grain bullets when the local sporting good store was selling them out for cheap years back.

Is that a Winchester Model 70?

I believe I have the same exact rifle in .375!

Model 70 here as well. I’d forgotten I have some 260 grain Partitions loaded up and will have to see how they do.

While I haven’t tried many different loads, Varget and the Hornady 270 grain SP have worked great so far!

Nice! :)

Varget & RL-15, as well as the 4350's are all good for the 375 H&H. I think your elk are in BIG trouble!

Very nice. Hope you tag an elk with the big 375 H&H.

I shot a cow elk at 200yds with a 375 H&H and 300 SierraBT, It blew a 4-5" exit hole! After that I went to the 270 TSX. Perfection. ha I shot a mule deer doe with the older 235 X and it too was a good one. I gave that rifle to a young man before I could play with the Sierra 250BT. I read where it is pretty tough.

I'd like to hunt more with my 375, but mostly I just hunt mule deer, and anything over a 6mm - 30 cal simply isn't needed. Fun though... Perhaps someday I'll hunt mule deer or elk with my 375 again. I've only shot black bear with it. Not necessary for them either.

But I do like the cartridge! :)
