Drove up to my favorite gun shop today to see what came in after hunting season.

I went over to look at the Sako rifles and here was a Pre-Garcia Sako in mint condition. Had the Hooded front site etc.....a real beauty for $895.00. That means about $825.00 out the door after some dickering. But alas it was a 7mm Rem. Not that I find any fault with the 7mm, but had a Sako in that cal and decided I just dont need anything bigger than the the 270, 308, 280 and 30-06 that the boys and I already have in the cabinet. But if it would have been along the 7m-08 lines something would have had to be done right away. But it sure was nice.

Long,

Sounds like you saved a few bucks.
Of course, you could get the 7mm RM and load it down to 7mm-08/280 Rem levels and load it up if you go out west.

JD338

JD, exactly what I was thinking! You could always download the 7mm to 08 velocities, but when you wanna get out there ways, you could always bump up to the mag loads. One great thing about reloading.....

You got one of the most versatile calibers of all time. Enjoy!
