I like Hemingway and with one notable exception I like to think I would have enjoyed being a friend. I have a reading corner at both lodges, here and Alaska. When it's time to get a little separation from the guests I'll retreat there and often read from one of his books.
I received this copy from an observant guest over the weekend. They had hunted with me last fall as well. IMG_1699.JPG

I've met one of the authors, Steve Helsley, and gained a few insights into the book, and what the authors learned about Hemmingway while researching the book.

I really ought to get a copy!

That's a really nice gift! Very thoughtful as well!
If I'm not hunting, and have some free time to myself, I always have my nose stuffed in some sort of hunting periodical, or hunting book, or reloading manual.

I think I will see if there is a Barnes and Nobel in Bozeman and see if they have it..
Teddy Roosevelt's Hunting Adventures is another good one.

I just finished loading a box of .338 Jarrett. Got me wondering what Hemingway would say about long range hunting.
