You really got to look close at some pictures or else buy off of a reputable seller online. I see descriptions all the time of a gun being in very good condition and when you look closely you can see cracks, chips, spots of rust, or repair work done.

This gun was described as it appeared to have been professionally repaired. At least the seller was honest enough to show it up close, but if this is professionally repaired then I'm not charging nearly enough for what I do for a living.

Yikes! I'd say not. Is that even repaired?

I've noticed that the usual and customary "7 day 'no-fire' return policy" that used to be standard back in the medieval days of "The Shotgun News" classifieds seems to have gone out the window with the online sites too. Some sellers still do, most don't...insisting that a poor, blurry photo and an optimistic description of damage or repair is good enough.

Caveat Emptor is still in force...

I've only bought new so I guess I've been lucky.
Buyer beware.
