Bought a Nosler 30 custom rifle from a friend of a friend, reloaded 25 rounds, put new optics on it, bore sighted and shot first 3 shot group at 100 yards(blue circle), made scope adjustments and shot 2nd group at 100 yards(green circle), then set BT up, and shot 3rd group at 300 yards.

Welcome aboard. Looks as if you did well when you picked up that rifle. I do believe you may have a shooter on your hands.

I'm currently working on a new 30 Nosler myself. The 200gr Nosler Accubonds shoot well at 400yds but I'd prefer a lighter bullet. I'm currently looking for an accurate load using the 181gr Hammer bullet.

Nice shooting. Would you care to share your reloading info?

I’d like to hear how the Hammers work Charlie, when you get some results. I’ve got a couple boxes on the shelf.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I’m using 180gr Accubonds, 77 grains Hodgdon H4831SC, 215GM Primers, OAL is 3.54”.

The 143gr 7MM HH bullets are shooting between 1.5"-2" at 400yds in my rifle so they definitely are capable of fine accuracy.

My initial groups with the 181 HH bullets in the 30 Nosler weren't nearly as good but I'm just getting started with them. I was loading at .020-.030" off the rifling but decided to move way out and have just reloaded 4 different loads at .080" off. That is similar to the jump I used in the 7WSM.

The Hammers appear to have a lot going for them. Once a load is developed, I may be a one bullet shooter. They expend at a very low velocity so I may even try them in the 6.5 Creed when I have time.

That an awesome combo.. that 180 AccuBond is a wicked Bullet.

Any idea on your FPS?
I don’t have a chrono but Nosler’s table shows 3026 Muzzle FPS with .507 BC. My buddy has a chrono I’m going to borrow and then I’ll have some better info for you.
