I have had the guide gun for a long time with the Xs sights ghost ring. Love it but want to add a scope by adding the xs picatinny rail and a leupold vx3 2.5x8. Question is which rings do you recommend and should they be mediums or high? I assume low won’t work.

I have never been happy with a host ring/conventional scout setup. It leaves the scope way to high for a decent cheek weld. Shooting heavy kickers with your head up in the way is a good way to get a crescent shaped scar over your eye.
The closest I came to gettingvtgat setup to work I used a strap on cheek rest. It worked but never could really get to like it. Just didn’t seem right for some reason.
This is as low as you can possibly mount a scope over a ghost ring
Was way to high so I installed this cheek riser
In a pinch you could insteps the cheek piece and pop off the scope.
