I broke down and picked up an elite iron bipod today. I have been drooling over these for the last couple years.

I have an atlas and a competition machine bipod that I have been using for the last few years. The competition machine bipod is great but but being built into the RTS chassis only works on that one rifle.

The atlas I have been using on several different rifles. It isn’t a bad bipod at all, better than the Harris style, but the competition machine and elite irons are in a whole different league. They are just much more stable. The lower center of gravity allows them to just hang dead steady without the top heavy wobble that you can get from a bipod that mounts under the forearm.

The elite iron will work on either of my two chassis rifles. A MPA chassis stocked 22 creedmoor and a KRG Bravo stocked 308.

I can’t recommend this bipod enough. It’s a little pricey but you can’t beat its performance.

I will be ordering one for my 50BMG. I have been contemplating getting one for my 375 Cheytac also but I ended up with Fortmeier. I just like the looks of it on the XLR chassis.

Where did you get the Fortier? I’ve only seen them on sites from Europe.
