Need tool advice

What is the tool that you use to remove the cross bolt that goes across a Browning Safari and some Winchester bolt rifles, the "nut" has two pin holes in it. I assume you must hold that nut with some sort of tool to take that cross bolt out so you can remove the stock from these rifles.
Once I have it's name, where do I buy this tool?

I've never tried it but a good quality snap ring plier should work, the cheap ones will probably bend but heavier ones shouldn't. you can pick them up at any hardware store. But again I've never tried.

Thanks, I ordered the Wheeler kit from midway, just fyi, all the Wheeler kits were on sale.
