SCI banquet gun 336XLR (3030 win)

I won this in Feb. got the scope mounted, test loads made up using 150gn interlock RN and Leverlution.

I keep looking at those long barreled XLRs...That would be a neat one to own!

I think one of those paired up with a receiver sight on the rear and a fine bead up front would be very capable.

Was more than pleased to get the 24” barrel and gray laminate.

It’s my second lever.

If I was shopping for levers, I’d be looking at BLR and Savage 99 in something like 308 or 35 Rem.

Did volunteer work last weekend for a gentleman’s side by side shotgun tournament. Had 71 competitors.
75 sporting Clays and 25 Skeet. Winner is normally 86-92 for total score. Made me wish I had a nice SxS.

Maybe someday.

Nice. I have its twin and had it trimmed to 21" barrel....just to be different! Will shoot 160 flextips with Leverevolution powder under 1" at 100!

I think I have some potential in this one.

Did a ladder test with 150gn Hornady RN Interlock (3030 speeds).

This ladder test was not as I expected.

First batch. I made 3 of each and used the magneto speed.

Started at 36.0 gn 2346fps

37.8. 2544, 2548, 2537
38.0. 2561, 2564, 2565

All I can say is WOW!

Look at the consistency at the star charges. Hodgdon forecasted 2512 FPS.

I don’t see pressure signs.
I used WLR primers. Didn’t use the Benchrest CCIs.

All the shots in under 2”
