Range day and firs time using a chonograph a MagenetoSpeed.
What I learned today my favorite .264 Win Mag load was slow.
Rifle Model 70 .264 Win Mag. 24 inch barrel
Nosler #4 Manual shows a Max load of 60.0gr of IMR 4350 with a 3202 FPS

My load
Nosler Brass
CCI 250
60.2gr of IMR 4350
Nosler 120gr BT
I took three shots of my favorite Deer & Antelope load
3068 FPS
3074 FPS
3083 FPS
I always assumed I was close to 3200 FPS but I was 125 FPS slow makes me wonder how I ever killed anything. Ignorance is bliss. Should of bought a MagnetoSpeed a long time ago.

Hahahahaha. Kinda like a bore scope...don’t do it. Hahahahaha!

Ha! I’ve done the same thing many times.

I do like my Magnetospeed though. So darned easy to get good numbers without much fuss.

Ha I understand! I have a couple favorite loads that I'm afraid to test. I assume they're slower than I'd want but the animals don't seem to know any better and they shoot well so I stay in the ignorance is bliss mode.
