Since I have gotten into Spring Air Rifles I picked up a used Diana 48 in .22 cal and decided it needed to be refinished after shooting it some and found the pistol grip area was like grabbing hold of a 2X4 so I restyled and stippled it before staining and putting the final finish on the Beech wood stock.
I also went inside of it and polished the trigger sear bar plus lubricated the main spring along with making a piston sleeve out of Teflon sheeting and made a stainless steel spacer for between the spring and sleeve which helps remove vibrations which can affect accuracy.
I'm finding that spring air rifles can be both challenging and rewording working on them and shooting them.
They can be as much of a challenge as a center fire rifle is to find the right load and bedding to get them to shoot accurately.

Thank you April for the kind remark.

I have been wondering about you with the Hurricane baring down on England and you being near by and close enough to feel the side affects.

Thanks Fotis, I did a lube tune and sleeved and spaced the spring so it is a true 24 FPE .22 air rifle running at 875 fps with a 14.5gr pellet.

Thanks Rol, it's been a while since we last talked hope all is well with you and your wife.
It took me 18 months but I finally got my A1C level down where it belongs (5.3). Now to get back out to Montana to chase some Elk around.
