Finally a non windy day to zero the 7-300 win mag with 180g ELDMs. Getting ready for a 1K shoot in 2 weeks. My normal 1400 yard range is closed for a few days so I had to hit the next best thing and that range only goes out to 500, but it still gave me an idea of what shes gonna do. I'm pretty happy with it anyway. Probably wont win any competitions with it, but it's still minute of big game anyway haha.

Darn Jorey, that rifle seems to be perking well with the 180 ELD's. I love the 7-300 cartridge. Mine has been easy peasy to make accurate, fast stuff without a bunch of nonsense. Pretty versatile too since it seems to fit any of the slow burning powders real easy.

2950-3000fps depending on the day...Pretty mild load really considering it has a 28" tube. Could obviously run it hotter, but at the expense of brass and accuracy, which I'm not willing to do with this rifle. Original batch of 50 NOSLER brass now has 5 firings on it and they are still tight as new.

You are going to do just fine Jorey.
The rifle and load are up to the task. Reading the wind is going to be the tough part. Good luck with the match.

I have a feeling that you are going to do just fine

Very nice long-range hunting rifle! And some really nice shooting to go along with it.

Best of luck this season!
