New to me Winchester Model 94 in 30-30

My wife is back in Montana to visit friends and family. She called last night and said she was gifted her late father’s model 94.
He passed away in a mining accident in 1965 when she was two years old.
I have been wanting to get another one of these as it’s the rifle and cartridge that I started hunting with at 12 years old. Ammo might be tough to get but I will see what’s available. May have to reload for it too. Maybe will take it along on a deer hunt this year.

That's great that you get this rifle seeing it was your wife's fathers. That's special. When I was 15 my Great Uncle Luther let me borrow his Win mod 94 32 Spec. Wish I could have been able to get it from the family just for a keepsake if nothing else. Hope you get to tag some deer with it. Dan.
