I've located a new M21 rifle, chambered in 28 Nosler.

While the paper ballistics look pretty impressive, I've got very little experience with 7mms in general and none with the 28NOS.

Does anyone have any first hand experience? This will be my first foray into the 28 and, given the state of supply, present something of a challenge to start loading.

It’s should easily handle any task you ask of it. A hot stepping 160-190gr 7mm bullet is very effective on big game.

7mm hits the sweet spot... flies great, hits hard, penetrates great with heavies yet can still blow up a coyote with lighter bullets.

The 28 Nosler looks to be an impressive round. Definitely a flat liner. Let me know what you think ethe M21.
I have one on order in 308 Winchester.

Is that showing 81.5 grains of Retumbo? Interesting. Sure made a nice group. I'd guess 3100 - 3200 fps with that 160 gr bullet?

My old 28Nos shot like that too. Its going to my son's friend as a Xmas gift from his wife. I have Ridge line on order in a 28 to replace it.

While the 28NOS looks interesting, my local hook and bullet was able to order one in 300 Win Mag.

Merry Christmas to me!

That should make about the perfect Alaskan all around rifle
