Recovered 215 Berger from Mule deer buck

Buddy took a Muley buck with his .300 and the trusty 215 Berger, MV 2,960fps. Shot was 275 Yards, steep down hill quarting away fairly hard. Bullet did massive damage to the liver, and lungs and was found off side right in the armpit of the buck. Deer didn’t even move, dropped like a rock.

Good looking buck. The bullet did perform well. That had to have been a heckuva blow to the buck. Congratulations to your compadre.

Wow! That bullet held together way better then I would have thought considering the velocity, and distance of the shot! Nice write up, thanks for sharing!

I have yet to test the 215's I have in my 300 NM since the 230's worked so well, very comforting to see your post.
 
I’m sold on the 215’s, I’ve had nothing but success with them, up close and way out there.
