So I bought a new model 70 7mm-08 featherweight. Great price, could not resist it.

Anyway, what would you scope it with? Variables only, please. Uses will be mostly antelope, pigs, deer.

My wife's 7mm-08 has a VX-3 2.5-8x36 on it and works just fine.
I had bought a Swarovski Z3 3-9x36 for my 7mm-08, have since mounted it on my LH Sako L691 carbine with mannlicher stock in 30-06. Have a VX-3 3.5-10x40 sitting in the safe that will go on it in the interim, until I can get another Z3 or another 2.5-8.

on my Tikka I have a VX6 2-12 with the B&C retical . on Denise's X-bolt I have a 3-9 conquest with a #20 duplex retical .

Just got a Vanguard endeavor 1-6x42mm. Has Hoya glass.
Should have a range report after getting back from break.

+1 on the Burris. I have a Burris 3-9x40 Ballistic reticle on my 7mm-08. It’s weight is light for the quality. I can see well through it for the price range.

Hmm! Tough one Fotis! I'm thinking maybe you should opt for a 4-16x40 scope with an adjustable parallax knob.....like maybe...hmmmm....a center point bdc reticle! Hahaha! Hahaha! Hahaha!

Leupold VX3i 3.5X10X40 duplex reticle sighted in 2.75" high at 100 yards is what I have on mine and it does everything I ask of it. This scope replaced a Leupold 3X9X40

I think a Leupold 2.5-8X36 would be a great match for a feathweight in 7mm-08. my Remington model 722 in .257 Roberts, Savage 99C in .358 Win and Ruger #1AB in 7mmx57 all are equipped with them.

Fotis, Congratulations on the rifle. That is one nice rifle!
Have you made a decision on the glass?

The VX-3 2.5-8x36mm would be just about perfect for a short action Feather Weight M70.

Fotis said he bought a Tasco Pronghorn 3-9x40mm and loves it immensely! He wishes he would have got one a lot sooner!

I have the same rifle. I originally put a Weaver K6 on it and will probably put it back on. For now it has a Bushnell Legend ultra HD 4.5-14. I put the Bushnell on for load development and it works well in that role. It's a little large for the rifle but I wouldn't hesitate to hunt with it. I'd love to hear about your load development when you get to it.

DrMike did the load development for my wife's Steyr Mountain Classic, as a gift to her.
The load that shoot 1/2" groups is Sierra 140 gr Pro Hunters over 47.2 gr of IMR4350 and Fed 210M primers in Nosler cases at 2.276" coal.
It also shoots Nosler 140 gr AB ammunition into less than an inch at 100 yards.

velocities?

Also your COAL is way off.

Might have been a typo...my big fingers!!! LOL will have to check on it.
Sorry, I did not chrony in the 20" barrel...Mike may have when he was working up the load.
