Congrats! Sure takes the pressure off when you know the freezer is full.

Nice job! We are snooping around for a little one up in 12 trying for an early one ourselves. No luck yet but having fun

Excellent. Congratulations. That fine young beast will be excellent eating, for sure!

It's all fun until the skinning knife has to come out. By the time you get to the grill, you'll have well earned that juicy bacon wrapped piece of backstrap !

That is so true... every single time I walk up on one, I'm like "What have we just gone and done."

Congratulations, it just doesn't get better than early season moose when it comes to filling the freezer.

very nicely done Mike

How many are you allowed to harvest each year ?

Is your son learning to work with the knife yet ?

I can take 1 per year, my son and wife also have a tag but one moose a year is quite enough for us. Evan does really well helping out with butchering and skinning. Not his favorite chore, but he pitches right in.

Congratulations on a early season Moose that sure takes the pressure off (y).
I hope that we have a bit of a story coming with more photos .

Blessings,
Dan

Congrats. I got my first one last year so I know how much work and reward a moose entails. Best tasting game meat in my book.
