Been getting a couple of e-mails on this cartridge. Just to clear things up here are some picture and info.

L/R: .30-06 Springfield, .375 H&H, .404 Jeffery, .505 Gibbs

The 375 is a necked down and improved version of a 505 Gibbs.

Max case capacity for the Cheytac is 161 gr H2O. The snipetac version has more.

Neat, and informative. Thanks for the info. That is a lot of powder. It certainly launches a projectile at awesome velocities.
 
I think I'm off to buy stock in Hodgdon :shock:

What an absolute Monster Pop. If there were still wooly mammoths or something, you would be right there with that beast! Have you shot it yet, and how is the recoil? What does your rifle weigh?

Have you figured out what the downrange ballistics would be such as foot pounds at 1000 yards? Get a buddy to take a photo as you shoot the beast so we can see the earth move and shake! :shock:
 
This would work well for zombies if you could just figure how to get them to line up in rows of ten or more!
 
That is an awesome case. I can't wait to hear of some range results. I checked out some video's on YouTube and there were some older men shooting it with 0 issues, so it can't be too bad. I bet it is going to really lay the smack down on some distant game. I am off to buy some stock in Hogdon. Scotty
