I would like to see plastic tipped Nosler Partition bullets with slightly better BC. I would like to see a 6.5 plastic tip and slight boat tail between 120-125gr. with a BC above .480 and a 30cal plastic tip slight boat tail 180gr. I feel this would provide the best comprise of Peneration and long range expansion and bring the Partition into the next generation.
Yes I don't like the magazine box flatting tips during recoil.

What would you like for 2020 ?

Didn’t you just Schwack a beautiful bull caribou with the 130 AB

It might be just me, I love Partitions but I just think the Accubonds are just plastic pointed Partitions

Would like to see some more offerings in 17 caliber. A 30gr ballistic tip with a boat tail would be pert near unbeatable. You could make the tips teal!

Yes the Nosler 130gr AB performed perfect at the distance I used it at. I wonder at what distance or FPS without hitting bone what it really expands at ? Just wondering how far I can use it to.
I just don't know of another bullet that puts the wack of a copper core bullet and the Peneration of a copper bullet, like a Partition.

While the Nosler Partition is the Classic and first premium bullet it's ready to be upgraded IMHO. I also think it would set a new standard in long range bullets.

Well, I have seen the 160 ABs at similar speeds open just fine out to 450’ish. I wouldn’t worry a lick about your combo. While a poly tipped Partition would be neat the Accubond is a great bullet from just about every example we’ve found left in a dead buck or bull.

These are pretty neat though, but I don’t think they’ve made anymore since the 60’s. A poly tip would be pretty wicked too.

But, the good old Accubonds don’t leave too much behind.

Wow Scotty those boat tail 139's are really cool, didn't know they made any like that.

I would like :

6.5 mm 155-160 gr Accubond or Partition
.277 160 gr Accubond (Thanks for the 150 gr Accubond you are now making Nosler)
.311 165-180 gr Ballistic Tip

You aren’t kidding Gerry! I’d love to have a couple 100 of them for my 264 Win Mag.

I could go for a 155-160 grain AB myself. That’d be a beast around 3000 FPS

It sure was. If you look real close you can see the transition.

I wonder how the long range accuracy was with these two diameter bullets in the .264 years ago ?
I know it was to reduce pressure to achieve higher FPS Load. Maybe something we need again in all bullets.
Who would not like a little more speed in there reloads.

For 2020 I'd like to see updated load data for all the "hot" new powders - mainly RL26, RL23, RL16 - where it made sense - mostly the 25-06 and 300 WSM for me, but I wouldn't turn down 300 WBY data. And, I'd like to see a high BC .257 bullet - 115 ABLR?

Right? Sorry Nosler, give the old school IMR powders a break. There's plenty of established load data for them already!

I’d like a 7mm 175 Accubond (not LRAB).

Wow, those are very old school Nosler's Scotty. It would be neat to drop something with them, but then again they're so old it would be cool to just save them for the nostalgia of having them around for "Show, and Tell".

I wished they were mine. You’re right though, I’d be all over the mountain with those loaded up in my 264 Winchester!

+1
with both the 140gr and 160 gr AccuBonds!

While we are at it for +P loads, let's add the 6.5x55 with 140 gr AccuBonds for new rifles with stronger actions than those used in the World Wars. (The old Norma and Hornady Light Magnum Euro Spec loads both ran 140 gr ammo at 2780 fps.)

So, here’s what I’ve done for the 280, just to get an idea what it’s capable of, I take a gander at the 270 Win data! I know it isn’t perfect but for most of the bullets except for the 175’s you can match them up with 270 Win 65k data. Both cases are darned near as close to the same as they could be and anything that is safe in a 270 will be safe in a 280 with an even larger bore.

As for the old Swede, Nosler has some great data for 140’s, which I think uses 22 for over 2800.. I’d like to see some modern pressure specs myself but using 260 data is a pretty safe way to roll as well.
