I use almost the identical recipe but its call Carne Guisada, it is one of my favorites..I also make Carne Colorado, and its highly spiced cubes of meat in a red enchilada type sauce..I am ranch raised on the Texas Southwest Mexico border, I eat a lot of Mexican food, its my staple diet..

Why change and why new, buy a nice used Leupold for $200 in a 2x7x28 or even a 4X fixed, it will suit any hunting situation you get into..To me these $500 and up scopes are nothing more than a rip off, they serve no earthly purpose unless your a target shooter or long range shooter an I am neither.

I require high dollar binocs, but a scope to me is nothing more than a rear sight, I put the X on the target and pull the trigger, no need to count the fleas on what I shoot...My choice on a varmint rifle is a 3x9 or 4x12 vari-x11 Leupold, and used if I can find one..The guarantee is still...

Depends on what you require...My favorites are the 8x30 Leicas but they cost plenty, but I make my living using them...You have to be prepared to give up a lot of detail when you buy $200 binocs, you simply get what you pay for..I would rather shoot iron sights and have a good set of binocs...

Big clunky scopes on such a trim nice little rifles grates on my soul..I would personally opt for a 3X fixed Leupold on such a gun, and Id add iron sights for use with Talley or Leupold QD mounts. At most a straight 4X Leupold and if one must have a variable then a 1x4 Leupold. I see no need...

I use stones on all trigger jobs..The mod. 70 trigger is the best design ever, second best is way down the line as far as I'm concerned...Today, after many years of need, Brownells is selling mod. 70 triggers for the mod. 98 Mauser, its been a long time coming, but they ain't cheap!

For copper I'll go with Wipeout, but if its an old gun, and really hard to clean, I will use the old timers bench rest miracle stuff called Blue Goop, you have to make it yourself...One quart of commercial 25% Amonia, one cup of Hydrogen Peroxide, you an toss in a copper penny or bullet to turn...
