Both of those locations featured are less than 20min from my house. :)

The upper Klamath is very difficult to access but the fishing is second to none.

So tonight I flip on the Sportsmans channel and see a show called the Outfitters... low and behold they feature my home town and stomping groups Klamath Falls, Oregon. Watching the intro I thought Damm that looks familiar :) Duck and goose hunting followed by trophy Trout fishing.... Yep that's...
With the 75gr Amax at 3050fps it matches the ballistics exactly shooting 150gr Hornadys out of my 30-06. Exactly the same BC, same Velocity... Less than half the powder.... Far less recoil.... Loads of fun.

I bumped my fast twist 223 to 223AI and never looked back. The 75gr Amax is an incredible bullet and I am very consistent to 800yd (farthest gong we have here) It is an incredibly fun cartridge.

I am a fan of the Vortex Vipers I own. Running two 4x12 and the turret are very consistent. I put a 2x7 on my 30-06 with the bdc reticle and it is a perfect match.

I am hording the 200 or so brass that I have but am willing to let some 200gr Hornady flex tips go if you're interested. I am very partial to the 200gr Corelokt in this cartridge.

I went searching for the bullet that put the cow down. It entered the back of the neck, devastated the vertebrae, broke the jaw bone, nocked out some teeth and exited through the mouth. This is impressive to say the least, I only found one small piece of jacket in this mess. Conference restored.
We cut the meat up tonight and did find the shoulder blade was broken. We did not find any evidence that the bullet penetrated beyond the blade though. I will still use the Accubond as they shoot great and have always performed very well for me in the past. I think a lot of things went wrong...
FOTIS....yeah..Everything I read comes back to 7828 :) He dropped off three pounds of H4831SC with the rifle though. :)
