Looking for some 6mm E-tip QL help

Thanks for the link...I had already looked at Nosler's data. I have some IMR4831 and some RL19 that are listed there. I was curious as to how RL17 stacked up.

Looking for some 6mm E-tip QL help

Well he could always try lol!!! His Dad needs a B&C ADL Mountain Rifle stock for the 270 Winchester my dad hunted with first. It's been parked in the safe since he passed away with a crack in the wrist area of the stock. I've been afraid to hunt with it because of it and it was also a little...

Looking for some 6mm E-tip QL help

Well I hope to have some good results to post lol!!! Just finished painting the injection molded XCR stock I got to put on it. That particular rifle has an extremely dense piece of wood on it and it's a bit heavy for my son as it was for me when I started hunting lol. I packed that rifle for...

Looking for some 6mm E-tip QL help

Working on loading some 90gr. E-Tips for my 12year old who starts hunting this year. The gun is a Remington Model 700 6mm Remington with a 22" barrel. Will be using Hornady brass Federal 210 primers and am looking for some data using RL 17 or any other powder that might give some spectacular...

    Load data for .257 Weatherby

Dead deer with any of those for sure... If the shooter does his part and takes into account what type of bullet he is using and the game he is shooting at any bullet out of a 257 can and will be amazingly effective. If you read the Weatherby book Roy took a surprising array of game with the...

    .35 Whelen article.

I don't know when the switch was made for sure but I know the MK II's and the Hawkeye in 35 Whelen are 1 in 12". It was a big factor in my buying the rifle...that plus the fact it was a very good deal.

    .35 Whelen article.

The nice things about the Ruger is they have a 1 in 12" twist which would help if longer and or heavier bullets are on the menu. In the case of the 350RM they have a longer magazine box which also helps

    .35 Whelen article.

I don't have a 35 Whelen but I do have the short action version the 350 Remington Magnum and I'm a big fan...super efficient and powerful 54gr. of Benchmark gets 2700fps with a 225gr. Barnes TSX out of Ruger. Not much on this continent or any other that it wouldn't handle. The Whelen is a twin...

    Question on Primers

Scotty is very good at that urging...lol!!! I've added quite a few myself over the last few years and am still burning through the primers trying to learn about each... My Dad gave me a Remington Model 700 BDL in 270 Winchester and it handled all of my hunting and shooting chores for 25+...

    Question on Primers

When I wasa kid my dad would just buy a couple of hundred before we reloaded...we never stocked up per se. Hell I didn't even know you could buy them by the 1000 until I was older lol. The only time I ever saw a carton was when he sent my mom to town to buy a 100 CCI 450 and she came home with...

    Ain't they cute? Lol

Scotty it's a great little round and rifle. Just a simple Model 700 ADL with a sporter barrel but it shoots lights out with a variety of bullets weights and powders. It used to have a fixed 4 power on it but the Leupold 3-9x40mm works better for me when trying to see those tiny holes in the...

    Question on Primers

Reloading components for the most part are readily available here locally...especially powder and bullets BUT primers are pretty scarce especially CCI and Federal. I lucked out and scored 500 Federal 210's yesterday and 1000 Federal 215's today :) My question to you guys is what's the situation...

    Ain't they cute? Lol

Thanks guys its always shot well...my dad shot several deer with it when it was all he had 55gr. Sierras and Noslers and precision shooting got it done. I have plenty of rifles for the bigger stuff but the gun is still lots of fun to shoot and it will be a good training tool for my younger sons

    Ain't they cute? Lol

Sorry FOTIS...I normally load and shoot a lot bigger rounds. 45-70 444 Marlin 300 Weatherby 340 Weatherby 350 Remington Magnum...heck even the 257 Weatherby dwarfs these. So when I looked at the diminutive 222 cute came to mind lol :)
