Does that rifle have an 11 or 9 twist barrel? Savage was running 11 twist for a while but I hear they have switched back to the 9.

I`m just starting to work with this powder to replace my R22 loads because I can find any R22. It`s encouraging that you are having such success with it.

I`m running a max charge of R22 under a 117gr Hornady Innerlock/115NBT @ about 3100 out of a 22" factory Savage barrel. I also have shot a max charge of R22 with 100NBT @ around 3300fps out of it. All of these loads were sub moa and all bullets were moly`d. A 22' tube is just fine for hunting...

Looking for some advice on bullet weight and twist. The gun in question a Mauser action that has a 24", 1 in 12 twist barrel on it. What is the heaviest bullet I should be able run in this combo? I would like to load it with 100 NBT but if that is not feasible, any recommendations on lighter...
